“Why are you not sharing these with the world?“

It all started when…

One day, I shared a photograph from the 'collection' with my dear brother Shinya. Shinya, not just my brother and best friend, but also a talented producer whom I've had the privilege of collaborating with on numerous video projects over the years. His response was a simple yet profound question: 'Why are you not sharing this with the world?' In that moment, I realized that I had been unconsciously curating a 'collection' of abstract paintings found in nature for many years.

CALLED TO CREATE

I tried, tried and tried some more.

Sweating, panting and crawling.

Going over fences. Falling.

Trying to create something of my own.

My inability hurt me.

That color I couldn’t recreate,

and that shot I couldn’t capture.

Anxiety became the tool for my piece.

I lost focus, from the Light.

Like a broken lens, my eyes wandered in dark.

But You opened my eyes,

my arms, my heart.

And I saw that I am just a mere imitator,

imitating how You color this World.

How You find beauty in broken places.

How You create life from dust.

You took my inability and called it a gift.

And You told me that imitating is what I am called to do.

To be more like You, to paint with Light over darkness.

And You taught me to focus on the Light.

“You paint Your master piece with just Your Words.

With beauty and peace, You fill this world.

Your song brought this World into an existence.

'Let there be light'.”

Story Behind the Collection

"Pixels & Paints" is a lifelong journey that began with the stroke of a paintbrush and the blank canvas of an artist's soul. Miwaza found solace and expression in the abstract realm, where colors danced and shapes whispered secrets of the universe.

It was amidst the swirls of paint and the whispers of inspiration that Miwaza's artistic vision began to take shape. This vision transcended the boundaries of the canvas and reached out to embrace the world beyond. As the colors mingled and merged, so did the boundaries between art and reality, blurring into a seamless tapestry of creation.

During this time, Miwaza's eyes were opened to the beauty surrounding them in ways they never did before—not only in the vibrant hues of their paintings but also in the ever-changing landscapes of the natural world. Each sunset, rock, sand, and tree, each fleeting moment, became a canvas waiting to be captured—a testament to the boundless creativity that permeates all of existence.
